The Office of the State Auditor-General (OSAG) has set up the 2023 audit completion and exit meetings timetable schedules.

This is a sequel to the statutory audit inspection of accounts and records of the State’s Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and the periodic checks on its Parastatals Organisation for the year ended 31st of December, 2023.

In a statewide circular, the Acting State Auditor-General, Lagos State, Dr. Muyiwa John Adetola noted that the 2023 audit completion and exit meeting will commence on  15th July 2024.

The meeting, he stressed, is geared towards enabling MDAs the opportunity to provide evidence in support of their audit reports and responses to the audit observations and issues raised in the audit inspection reports forwarded to the State Auditor-General’s Office.

“It is also an opportunity to resolve such issues where the need arises”, the statement added.

Adetola enjoined the leaders of MDAs to personally lead their teams to the meeting as no issues would be resolved without the input of concerned Accounting Officers.

He also added that all formal representations and related evidence in respect of the audit queries raised in the audit reports should be forwarded, in both hard and soft copies, to the State Auditor-General’s Office on or before the scheduled date.
